Monument of Koroghlu RahimovKoroghlu Ismayil oglu Rahimov was born on October 31, 1953 in Khachmaz village of Oghuz district in a teacher’s family. He voluntarily went to the frontline of heated battles of Karabakh and his squadron showed true heroism in liberation of Buzlag, Chantaz, and Erkej of Goranboy region. Then Bashkend, Madagiz, and Gulistan villages were also liberated by heroic commander. On July 3, 1992, the squadron under his command attacks towards Agdere district. It was Koroghlu Rahimov’s last battle. There has been constructed a statue for him in the Alley located in Koroghlu street. His name and heroism will live in the hearts of the Azerbaijani people and will pass from generation to generation for keeps.
