Memorial monument devoted to those who fought in Great Patriotic War during 1941-45 (Yekikand)During the war of 1941-1945, our people sent more than 640 thousand of its sons and daughters to the front and about half of them lost their lives in the battles. More than 130 citizen of Azerbaijan were awarded Hero of the Soviet Union and more than 170 thousand soldiers and officers were awarded various orders and medals for their bravery in war. Memorial monuments dedicated to those who fought in Great Patriotic War during 1941-1945 were built in different regions of the country. One of them was built in Keshla settlement of Nizami district. The monument and the park it is located in were thoroughly repaired in 2010.
