The bust of Abbasgulu Agha Bakikhanov (Tofig Bayram)Abbasgulu Agha Bakikhanov was born on June 21, 1794 in Amirjan village near Baku. He served in the Imperial Russian Army during 1820-30s and took part as a translator in the signing of Treaty of Turkmenchay. Bakikhanov founded historiography in Azerbaijan with his “Golestan-e Eram” work. The bust of historian, poet and enlightener Abbasgulu Agha Bakikhanov was built in 2014 in connection with his 220th anniversary in the park named after him in Amirjan village of Surakhani district.
