Koroglu Castle - Located on a high hill near Shamkir city, it has been built from shaved stones taking into account relief. The fortification is of defense purpose. There are connected holes of 30-40 cm width and of 14-20 cm depth in the hill intended to provide inhabitants with water from rain and snow. Built about in the 16th and 17th centuries, unfortunately, only the ruins of the castle have survived up to now.
