Construction of Heydar Aliyev Museum located on Seymur Orujov street, Garadagh district started in April, 2006 and design and completion works finished in February, 2007. The opening was held on June 14, 2008. The main objective of the museum is to convey and propagate the life and activities, rich legacy and many-branched politics of Heydar Aliyev to young generations in detail. A research group consisting of 19 persons is created attached to the museum. The main objective of this group is to investigate more broadly and comprehensively the works of Heydar Aliyev in relation with Garadagh district. The museum is consisted of 3 rooms. There are 195 photographs, 94 books and 9 discs reflecting the life and works of Heydar Aliyev at Heydar Aliyev Museum. There is also bronze statue of Heydar Aliyev in front of the museum and the author of this statue is sculptor Natig Aliyev.
