The opening of the Heydar Aliyev Museum took place in July 2010. Great Leader’s bust was placed in the museum; photos and documents reflecting his life and activity, and books written about him have been collected here. Photos and exhibits reflecting Heydar Aliyev’s trip to Aghdam region in 1970-1980, 1990 and 2001, his meetings with inhabitants have special place in the museum. "Heydar Aliyev will live in hearts eternally" and "Heydar Aliyev is the architect of the Azerbaijan Republic" sections located on the first floor of the museum fully cover glorious course of life of Great Leader, the purposeful and complex policy that he implemented for eternal independence of Azerbaijan and for strengthening Azerbaijan’s international prestige and economical power.
